The Future of Work: Shaping and Networking
WissProKMU - Future of Work: Designing and Networking is the scientific project for 26 collaborative research projects from the BMBF funding line Future of Work - SMEs: Innovative and Social.
The joint project WissProKMU - Future of Work: Designing and Networking is part of the funding line "Future of Work: SMEs Innovative and Social" in the umbrella programme "Innovations for Tomorrow's Production, Services and Work" of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF). The aim of the funding is to strengthen Germany as a business location in global competition. Applicable solutions are to be researched in order to maintain and expand value creation and jobs in Germany, to make work economically and socially acceptable, and to further develop production and service processes in an efficient and environmentally friendly manner.
WissProKMU supports the collaborative projects with small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in implementing their digitisation strategy. Our goal is to network the collaborative projects, to analyse this networking for best practices, to design internal and external transfer and to implement integrative scientific result utilisation and potential analysis within the framework of the research focus for science and business. Within the framework of the Federal Government's High-Tech Strategy, the effects of digitalisation on the world of work are being examined in order to develop approaches to solutions for the future of work in the digital world. The reason for this is the current progress of digitisation and the associated changes in the world of work at all levels, similar to the time of globalisation. On the one hand, digitisation is to be understood as a great opportunity; on the other hand, digitisation also entails risks, especially for small and medium-sized enterprises, which have to keep up with the innovative strength of large companies. The umbrella programme "Future of Work - Innovations for the Work of Tomorrow" was designed to support small and medium-sized enterprises in particular in their competitiveness and future viability. The focus is on strengthening production processes and services and optimising performance processes, as well as improving working conditions.
